BOSTON, July 31, 2013—AIC Boston Center concluded the AIC “Iftars Around the World” series with an American Iftar. Several of the New England  Interfaith Council members attended the event.

The Iftar featured:

-Focus on the Muslim American experience.  For example, one Saudi-American artist shared her and her family’s Ramadan experiences in the U.S. and Saudi Arabia

-Official launch of Project Nur’ student art competition, “American Muslim Life.” Click here to learn more about the art contest

-Jazz music with a touch of Middle Eastern tunes, by Amethyst Band

-Beautiful henna body designs by a local henna artist
