Benjamin Parry, Senior Program Manager for MENA

Senior Program Manager, Benjamin Parry, manages MENA programs at AIC, including its cutting-edge Ambassadors for Peace violence interruption initiative. Previously, he worked in Iraq as a Governance Specialist with a Provincial Reconstruction Team under the Department of State. He advised the Baghdad Provincial Council on building its technical capacity and built relationships between the US Government and local politicians. He lived and worked in Berlin, Germany as a boarding school mentor for an international school. Prior to that he was a captain in the U.S. Army where he was deployed in 2004 to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served in a combat, as well as a civil-military capacity while there. He is a graduate of Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and Drexel University.
