Dalia Ziada, Egypt Director
Dalia Ziada is the director of the American Islamic Congress (AIC) Egypt Office. Ziada dedicates her life to promoting women’s rights, freedom of expression, and nonviolent action in her homeland, Egypt. She has been honored byNewsweek as one of 150 Most Influential Women in the World, selected byDaily Beast as one of world’s 17 Bravest Bloggers, and labeled by Time Magazine as a women’s rights champion. She is a frequent guest lecturer and has spoken in front of the U.S. Congress, as well as audiences at Harvard University, CATO Institute, Al-Akhawayn University in Morocco, American University in Cairo and numerous local, regional and international NGOs. Ziada is a laureate of Anna Lindh Award for Online Journalism and Tufts’ University Presidential Award for Making Difference in the World.
