Ambassadors for Peace

In 2008, AIC in collaboration with Cure Violence, launched the Ambassador’s for Peace initiative in Basrah, Iraq to reduce violence and encourage peaceful conflict resolution. Today, the program has expanded to Baghdad and has successfully mediated 540 potentially lethal conflicts.

Protection of Marginalized Individuals

In 2013, AIC launched a new initiative in Baghdad, Iraq that works to aid and empower individuals who practice alternative lifestyles through outreach and public educations. PMI also creates and manages a network of Iraqi and international NGOs to centralize and improve direct outreach to threatened individuals.
