DÜNYA Jazz Concert
Newbury Street heats up again with another Saturday night fusion performance by Boston’s acclaimed DÜNYA ensemble. The concert features smooth, grooving tunes bridging the makam (Middle Eastern modal concepts) and jazz. At the heart of the performance is Dr. Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol, a native of Turkey who now teaches at the New England Conservatory and plays a diverse range of musical genres.
