“Moving to the interior regions of Tunisia, I and my team work got the opportunity to meet people and know more about their concerns. I feel I have the responsibility to make these voices heard and contribute in the building of Tunisia. I know now that it is my duty towards this country to help emerge grassroots and transmit the leadership skills I acquired to them so that they continue the mission in the future” 

Saddi Ines, 28 years old succeeded to conduct a forum called ” Towards a successful democratic transition”. In collaboration with 20 trainers, and about 400 members and volunteers from associations such as JSF and Mourakiboun, training sessions were launched for the observers and those who participated in the elections oversight process.

The project team went to four regions: Beja, Jandouba, El kef, and Siliana. The goal was to set the action plan, recruit new volunteers to observe the next elections in the whole country. These trainees will be visiting farther areas in the deep interior of Tunisia need more civic and political education about elections, notions such as constitution, constituent assembly, rights, votes…etc.

The project mainly aimed at having a whole nation aware of its political environment, aware about the necessity of having their rights and that democratic regime is a must in a new revolutionary Tunisia and that citizenship does not stop at the act of voting.
