AIC supports several programs that include participants from multiple countries including:

I have a Dream PosterThe Dream Deferred Essay Contest

Inspired by Langston Hughes poem What Happens To A Dream Deferred? this contest features youth writings on civil rights in the Middle East. Selected essays from the contest were recently compiled into the Arab Spring Dreams anthology edited by AIC’s Nasser Weddady and activist Sohrab Ahmari.

The Eye to Heart Film Contest invites aspiring filmmakers to explore positive human values and advance social change. Submissions hope to inspire other young thinkers to embrace film as a way to explore positive values like humility, entrepreneurship, diligence, future-mindedness. Outstanding films are featured at international film festivals in the Middle East.

 

Tune in 3The Online Activism Institute

AIC’s Online Activism Institute (OAI) is designed help young Middle Easterners enhance their leadership and advocacy skills. The Institute offers free courses on social entrepreneurship, activism, and positive leadership. The Institute also offers materials celebrating individual rights and spotlights activists who have made in impact.
